the National Day of Prayer & Fasting

from 10 am - 4 pm (Sydney time) through the live webcast
Christians from all over Australia will gather in the Great Hall of Parliament House in Canberra to cry out to God that Australia will fulfil its destiny in Jesus Christ. Our focus is on revival and transformation for Australia. I am excited because this is the first time I have come to Canberra for this event. Last week the QLD Day of Prayer & Fasting was wonderful.
At the beginning of the Prayer Service at 10am, David will be playing Amazing Grace with James Stephens who plays the didgeridoo. During this hour-long session, we will worship the Lord and different ones, including children, will lead us in prayer.
From 11-12 am, the session will have a focus on Australian Chinese Christians who have a great passion for revival in Australia and beyond. There will be Chinese translation so it can be beamed into China.
From 12-1 pm, we will focus on the Christian Heritage of Australia and pray for some new exciting initiatives. The next hour will focus on our Government and Church leaders. It is always an honour to have some present and to pray for them.
From 2-3 pm, there will be an historic Repentance and Reconciliation Service when key church leaders of Australia will speak about the issue of sexual abuse within the Church. With many things coming to light through a Royal Commission, this is an opportunity for Christians to respond.
We will present the Canberra Declaration new video and speak briefly about the Double Our Numbers Campaign at 3 pm. We ask for your prayers for this. Our indigenous brothers and sisters will lead us in worship and prayer to finish the day.
For us personally, we feel tomorrow is the culmination of the past two years of working full-time with the Canberra Declaration and the National Day of Prayer & Fasting. We praise God for the wonderful privilege of serving Him in this ministry.
It certainly stretches us beyond where we have been before! We feel all that has gone before has been preparing us for this season in God. We feel as never before the need for a strong prayer cover as we follow the passion God has placed in our hearts for sound Biblical teaching in the great movement here in Australia, and to the ends of the world, for prayer, revival and missions.
