Study by College Football Talk's McGuire does not show a major recruiting bump following a FB National Championship, though it's important to note that the schools who have won NCs in the past decade weren't exactly far down the recruiting boards to begin with, also points out the non-scienctific data as ranking recruiting classes is in & of itself a dicey exercise - link
