Last weekend was a big one for us with capacity crowds turning up for all three events: Rally & Broad, Headset and Messenger, so big up you if you were among the throng. There are some excellent photos from Rally & Broad's event here by super-talented snapper Chris Scott (aka Chris Donia).
If you're one of the 4k friends of our "Billy 'Bongo Clubber' Bongo" Profile on Facebook, you may have noticed our absence lately. We're trying to resolve this but, if you haven't done so already, please be sure to 'Like' our Page, to keep up with us on FB.
NB Bear in mind that Facebook also changed the rules for Pages recently and so some of these updates won't actually reach you... SO, if you're mad-keen not to miss out on anything, not least as some events could sell out in advance, remember to keep checking the FB Page regularly and/or follow @BongoClub on Twitter. Obviously our website always has more detailed info, while the news page/blog there is generally updated every week.
These newsletters usually feature all the latest info as well and you can easily share them with pals via the links at the bottom.

NEXT WEEk: Craig Charles (6Music) at Four Corners 10th Birthday (Fri 6th Feb)
Established at the The Bongo Club in 2005 (then at Moray House), Four Corners has run every month for 10 years now – with very few exceptions. It is now one of Scotland’s longest running club nights, consistently providing a top drawer soundtrack of deep funk, soul, afrobeat, latin, disco, r ‘n’ b, hip hop and reggae.
Come and help us celebrate the big ONE-ZERO with a very special guest DJ, CRAIG CHARLES, the well know TV personality-turned-top-funk-ambassador. His BBC Radio 6 show is the most popular on the network, and behind the decks Craig knows how to work a room.

FRI 20TH FEB: Rødhåd at Substance x Pulse
Pulse & Substance host their first event together with Rødhåd at The Bongo Club. Voted number 9 on this years RA DJ polls, Rødhåd has been socialized by Berlin’s loop techno nights and always finds the perfect balance of timeless techno to lift the dancefloor higher and higher. Rødhåd sets are still pitch-black, loopy, pulverizing and down-right strange. It’s a sound most at home at Berghain and Berlin’s Dystopian parties. His style is always deep, powerful and melancholic – from dub-techno to techno and back to house. Support from Substance & Pulse residents Gavin Richardson & Darrell Harding. More Info/Tix

FRI 27TH FEB: Dillinja & Chimpo at Electrikal
This month, welcome big daddy Dillinja plus Manchester legend Chimpo for 60min sets each. The capo don capo, the original gangster, the boss, the king, the shah. Time to pay respects to a man sitting atop the pantheon of jungle sound since 1991 - aside from helping to forge a pillar of modern dance music; he went further outside the system, and built a sound system. It's safe to say that without this trail blazed by Dillinja and his Valve Sound System, there would be no Electrikal - and for this reason we've asked him to come play for the team he's helped inspire. Joining him is one of Manchester's finest, the indomitable Chimpo. More Info/Tix

TUES 24TH FEB: Mercury Nominee Kate Tempest returns with a full band
Following October’s sold out solo show for her book tour (of which the Edinburgh performance drew five star appraisals from both The Scotsman and The Independent), we are buzzing about welcoming one of Britain’s most exciting new talents back to The Bongo Club, this time performing songs from her Mercury Music Prize-nominated album, Everybody Down, with her full live band. If you caught Tempest last time, you’ll know she’s nothing less than a sensational live performer. If you’ve not seen her yet, this may be your last chance to do so in a small venue…
“One of the brightest British talents around” (The Guardian)
“As Tempest’s gorgeous streams of words flow out, they conjure a story so vivid its as if you had a state-of-the-art Blu-Ray player stuffed in your brain, projecting image after image that sears itself into your consciousness” (New York Times)
“Wow” (Chuck D – Public Enemy)
“Her works are truly of upliftment and betterment” (Roots Manuva)
