Dear Praying Friend,
Well our most exciting news this month is the little baby we look forward to meeting in July! You can see our announcement above. We have lots of big adjustments ahead!

In our last update we gave a short synopsis of our daily routine. This time we'll take you on a tour. Why don't you come with us and we'll show you as much as we can!

Soon after we arrived here the Lord led us to a wonderful home that has perfectly fit our needs as a family, made transportation and daily work much easier, and opens great doors for getting to know people here. The Lord’s guidance is clear in everything down to the location and the fact that we don’t need to own a car. Up until fairly recently, our routine has been going to language school every day. We loved our time there and couldn't have asked for a better experience for studying Tagalog.
But that's changing now. Tomorrow morning, we leave for a new ministry opportunity in Palawan. For the next 4 months we look forward to ministering together with Pastor Jethro Malacao at Brooke's Point Bible Church.

Our primary long-term focus will still be teaching at BJMBC, but we have several reasons for moving to Palawan:

1) Language immersion to solidify our Tagalog study.
In Manila we usually hear a mix of English and Tagalog. In Palawan, we'll now be forced to rely completely on Tagalog.

2) Learn the nature of ministry in the province.
Many of our students actually come from the province. If we only ever live in Manila, we will be limited in understanding some of the dynamics they work with in ministry.

3) Learn from Pastor Malacao and the ministry at Brooke's Point.
God is using Brooke's Point Bible Church in exciting ways to reach many people in Southern Palawan through far-reaching outreaches and multiple daughter churches. We want to learn more about what is happening.

4) Assist in any way we can.
One of Pastor Malacao's visions is to start a college for training workers in their myriad outreaches. He invited us to come for me to prepare their curriculum. This will be my primary focus, along with preaching, teaching, and our direct involvement in the local outreaches.
It's hard to believe that our first year has already passed, even as the Lord continues to open doors for ministry. We look forward to these exciting months ahead with great anticipation at what the Lord will do.

Thank you so much for your support and prayers!

Joel, Sarah,
Jeremy, Zachary
and Baby Arnold
