Charlotte came into the foster system at age 6 and remains in the system after six years. Severely emotionally and physically abused, this young girl needed an advocate to help walk her through her emotional journey while providing her a voice in court. Charlotte’s advocate does just that. He has become a major support for the foster mother, arranged afterschool services for Charlotte and provides consistency for this child who has seen so much.
There are so many children like Charlotte who need someone to remember that despite her grown-up understanding of difficult situations, she still longs to simply have a childhood. Your gift to CASA of Oklahoma County provides each advocate volunteer with the training, supervision and guidance needed to help the abused and neglected children of our community. Without your support, our amazing volunteers would not be able to provide a voice for the children who otherwise would be left voiceless.
