Good Morning Church,
This Sunday we will continue our new Sermon series entitled "Jonah and the God of Second Chances". Pastor Scott Wiens will bring a message entitled "The Call of God". You don't want to miss this exciting sermon series. Please make a commitment to be here over the next four weeks, and then pray and expect God to speak to you through these messages.
The Workday scheduled for this Saturday, January 24th, will be rescheduled due to inclement weather. The Forecast calls for rainy, windy weather with dropping temperatures which would hamper any outdoor projects that were planned.
On Monday evening, January 26th, at 6:30 pm we are asking all of our Life Group Leaders to attend a special meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to impart vision and to encourage each other as we minister to God's people. Please mark your calendars and make plans to attend.
Sunday, February 1st, is SuperBowl Sunday. Pastor Shawn is asking all Life Group Leaders to plan SuperBowl parties.. The SuperBowl is one of the most watched events on television. It can be a great opportunity to invite your unchurched neighbor or friend to your Life Group or home. As Christians, we need to take advantage of every opportunity to share the love of God with others.
The Leadership of CWP has made a commitment to eight local and foreign missionaries to support their work on the field this year. These missionaries depend on the prayers and support of others. At the beginning of each new year we encourage everyone to make a pledge to missions. Your Mission Pledge is over and above your regular tithes and offerings. Please pray and ask God what He would have you give to Missions, then watch and see how He provides the funds to meet your pledge. Mission Pledge Cards are available at the Name Tag Table.
Looking ahead, the Run for Ruth House 5K will be held on Saturday, February 7th, beginning at 8 AM at North Lake Park, Umatilla. It is not too late to register for the Run. If you can't run or walk, you can still come out and support those who are participating. For more information, please contact Rebecca Randall at rrandallrebecca76@gmail.com.
On Sunday, February 8th, the J.C. Road Dogs will have a Lunch PLUS Benefit Ride. They will meet here at CWP at 11:30 am and ride to Zachary's in Leesburg. Remember you don't have to ride a motorcycle to join in. Everyone is welcome.
