Thank you for your interest in the Salt Lake City International Airport Terminal Redevelopment Program (TRP). Take a look at some of the exciting highlights of the project so far.
Current Renderings
Initial renderings offer an exciting first glimpse at the potential new Terminal Road and approach into the new airport facility. The designs are still in development and final plans will be revealed this summer.
New Economy Parking Lot Entrance
A new entrance to the economy parking lot opened just in time for Christmas holiday traffic on December 23. A hot air balloon alerted drivers as they entered the airport. Members of the University of Utah spirit team greeted parkers and distributed candy canes. This new entrance, which is slightly south of the old entrance, directs long term parkers into the new section of the lot that features nearly 3,200 new parking spaces and facilities.
Rental Car Facilities Construction
This photo captures the complex construction of new rental car facilities near the existing parking garage. The large cranes are used to insert stone columns deep into the ground to support new buildings. $80.7 million of construction is now underway for the new $138 million rental car facilities and completion of the south parking lot.
