PIMA COUNTY ATTORNEY APPOINTS NEW CIVIL DIVISION CHIEF

 
Tucson, Arizona – Barbara LaWall, Pima County Attorney, is pleased to announce that Deputy County Attorney Thomas Weaver has been appointed Chief of the Civil Division of the Pima County Attorney's Office.

Tom is an excellent lawyer with more than 25 years of experience. He graduated from the University of Arizona College of Law in 1985.  His legal career began as an Assistant City Prosecutor with the Tucson City Prosecutor’s Office in 1986. 

Tom's career with the Pima County Attorney’s Office began as a Deputy County Attorney in the Criminal Division in 1988, where he prosecuted felony cases, including juvenile delinquencies, DUIs, sex crimes, violent offenses, gun crimes, narcotics offenses, and homicides.

Tom has been in PCAO's Civil Division since 2007, where he has handled cases and matters involving land use and employment, among others.  

Tom is known for his trustworthiness, integrity, and professionalism.  LaWall said:  “Tom is a superb attorney and he has always represented this office with distinction.  I am pleased to have someone of his caliber in this position.”
