Ash Wednesday Service

Join us at 7:00 p.m. on February 18 for the Ash Wednesday Service as we begin our Lenten journey together. It will be a deeply meaningful service of silence and meditation, singing and prayer, reading of scripture, confession and reflection.

Lenten Study

Pastor Tracy will lead a Lenten Study at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday nights, beginning February 22. We will be studying Henri Nouwen's The Return of the Prodigal Son: A Story of Homecoming. This beautiful book takes the story of the Prodigal and studies it through the image of Rembrandt's painting in his depiction of the familiar parable. There is a sign-up sheet on the pastor’s office door for ordering the book. Paperback copies are $10; e-book and audio versions are also available. Please invite your friends to join us, too.

M.Y. Group

M.Y. Group will meet at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 22 at the church. Susan Beck will provide the meal. If anyone would like to provide a meal for future meetings, there are still opportunities to do so in March and May. Contact Joan Cole, M.Y. Group leader.

Luncheon in Memory of Barbara Robinson

The deacons will host a luncheon for the family and friends of the late Barbara Robinson at the church on Friday, February 27, at noon. Everyone is invited.

Ecumenical Lenten Service and Lunch
at MPC

On Wednesday, March 4, we will host the second in a series of six ecumenical Lenten services coordinated by the Norman Ministerial Fellowship. The guest preacher will be Mitch Randall from NorthHaven Church, and the worship theme will be "I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life". The service will begin at noon and everyone is welcome and encouraged to come. An offering will be taken up to benefit Mission Norman.

A $5 lunch will follow the service at 12:35 in Fellowship Hall. We will need lots of volunteers to help prepare, serve, and clean up afterward. Contact Donna Vint to volunteer.

You are also encouraged to attend as many of the six mid-week services as you can:
