Volume 12; Issue 1

What better time for the Winter edition of our newsletter than right after winter rears it’s ugly head. I hope you’ve dug yourselves out of the snow — We’re looking forward to Spring already!

I’d like to start the company news by announcing an addition to the Trinity Wealth office: Victoria Holland, CMA. Vicki has joined the team as our accountant & tax preparer, and we are happy to inform you she is available for personal and corporate tax returns for the 2014 tax year. She has years of experience in private and public industries, specializing in the needs of small business owners, and is here to answer your taxation-related questions. See her article in this newsletter outlining the tax-related deadlines for 2015.
Welcome, Vicki!

In this edition, on top of Vicki's deadline reminders, Rick looks back at the popular market speculation for 2014, who was right (at least almost), & the outlook for 2015; he compares RRSPs to TFSAs & suggests the best use for each; and Melissa advises U.S. and dual-citizens of tax filing requirements.

Finally, if you haven’t checked out our new website yet, now is the time. We’ve recently been featured on Yahoo! Finance Canada, as well as Slice media, and are happy to have been sharing our posts with Golden Girl Finance, a financial and lifestyle blog focusing on educating women on managing their wealth. Our educational resource centre is aimed to help Canadians become more financially literate, so feel free to share with your family and friends or suggest topics.
