Passing of Dr Oswald Olivier
We just learned the sad news of the passing of Dr. Oswald Olivier, who for a long time was an active member of the Chicago Chapter. Dr. Olivier was known for his charm, warmth and sense of humor as well as for his culinary skills and the time he spent caring for Haitian refugees. We present our sincere condolences and warmest sympathy to his daughter, Dr. Mildred Olivier and her family.
Visitation will take place from 8:30 am until time of prayers at 10:15 am Saturday 14 February 2015 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, LTD, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd) in Arlington Heights.
Funeral mass will take place at Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights at 11:00 am by Mgr. Willy Romélus.
Entombment will take place at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.
The Olivier family requests, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to "www.amhefoundation.org".

Dear Mildred
We have learned about the passing of your Father. The AMHE has applauded his qualities in being a member who has made a difference in the chapter and in the community of Chicago.
We knew also about the relation you share with him. We have no words to ease your sorrow but there is a satisfaction to know that he is visiting the promised land, this Paradise offered by our God of Misericorde. Nobody knows why he was chosen and Nobody knows either who is next on the list.
The AMHE presents you its sincere condolences and will convey to all the membership your wish to direct all money toward the AMHE Foundation. We will be in number to support you at the funeral but especially Eric Jerome MD will be the official Representative of the AMHE.

Sickle Cell Clinic Project in Léogane, Haiti
The Association of Haitian Physicians Abroad (AMHE) has launched its first crowdfunding project to build a Sickle Cell Clinic in Léogane, Haiti by 2016. We believe that giving health is building wealth. In this way, the people affected by sickle cell can hope to live healthier lives and overcome the throes of poverty. (More)
