Gluten Free


We have had feedback that a number of pharmacies are incorrectly using the default GP reference number when completing CPUS forms for the gluten free foods service.  Please CPUS for this service are fully completed with the patients’ GP reference number and CHI number.  

Look out for our new Gluten Free Foods webcast which will be launched later this month.

Updated Endorsing Guide


In conjunction with PSD we have updated the endorsing guide for January 2015.

Our website page lists amendments from the previous version and the full endorsing guide.

Stoma Audit


The Government is completing a Quality and Cost Effectiveness review on the provision of stoma care services. The stoma service standards can be found on our website.

Survey on Distribution of Healthy Start Vitamins and Drops


The Scottish Government is currently undertaking a review of the distribution of Healthy Start Vitamins and Drops. The review aims to assess whether distribution through Community Pharmacies has improved the up-take of Healthy Start Vitamins and Drops and any factors which have influenced uptake. Community Pharmacies are invited to take part in this short survey to explore your experience of distributing Healthy Start Vitamins and Drops and any barriers/challenges you may have faced. All responses to the survey will be treated anonymously and should be submitted by Wednesday 11th February 2015.
