Greetings from Allen and Lisa
Spring has come so we have lots of rain and the temperature fluctuates a great deal from one day to the next. We want our mission to be more clear than Ohio weather patterns. We were recently told by a friend that they didn't understand that our intentions are to plant a church. Several churches do multihousing ministries, but as far as we know we are the only ones attempting to plant a church. The vision is to establish small groups at different multi housing complexes then bring the small groups together as a new church plant. If you would like to know how you can help, we have included 3 ways to partner with us in the back of this a newsletter.

Lakota Pointe
In multihousing ministry the relationship with the manager is vital. Whiten Advisors, an independent research organization surveyed 50 apartment communities and discovered that less than 10% of residents had any relationship whatsoever with another resident after the first year. This causes many residents to move year after year. Because a sense of community is important for lease renewal, one of our goals is to build community so that residents will stay longer. This will make the manager's job easier. Of course there are exceptions to that rule. Vicky is one of those exceptions. Vicky has lived at Lakota Poine for about 14 years. Since joining our small group she has become very good friends with another lady who attends our small group. They are growing in their walk with the Lord together and support one another in their daily lives.
Thanks to Teresa Quallen having money donated to Abundant Life in lieu of flowers when she passed away, we were able to buy Bibles and devotionals for the ladies and the Jesus Storybook Bible for each family to read with their children. We were blessed to have had Teresa in our lives and her generous, giving heart is still impacting the lives of hurting people.

Heritagesprings of West Chester
Thank you Daniel Whitaker for filling in to lead music in Mike's absence, you did a great job!
We had to cancel the first chapel service in March because of snow. We were very disappointed but my day job requires me to make the streets safe for the residents of the city where I work.
We will be going door to door again soon because our lists of residents wanting to attend chapel is ever changing. Some people are there for rehab so their stay isn't necessarily a long one, others move to a different facility and sadly others die. We recently were told that one of our favorite residents passed away. He was always a ray of sunshine and he enjoyed worshiping with us very much. Thankfully we know he knew the Lord. His passing reminds us that each time we provide chapel for these residents it may be the last time they hear about a God who loved them enough to die for them so they could be redeemed and spend eternity in heaven.

Support our Ministry
We appreciate ALL support for the ministry. We can't do it without the help of others. Just wanted to let you know that May is our last month of full support from NAMB. If you are able to financially support us we would be eternally grateful.
You can support our ministry in three different ways:
PRAYING
A praying partner commits to praying specifically for my wife and I, our ministry, and our multi-housing residents. Prayer support is vital for us as we serve on the field!
PARTICIPATING
A participating partner commits to becoming involved personally in our ministry. For example, your church may want to send mission teams to assist us or seek to mobilize individuals within your church to be sent as short or long term missionaries as part of our planting team.
PROVIDING
A providing partner commits to supporting our ministry financially. All funds will be handled and deposited by our NAMB strategic partner, Lakota Hills Baptist Church in West Chester, Ohio. All donations are tax deductible. Please make checks payable to Lakota Hills Baptist Church. Be sure to include "Allen Lawless" on the memo line.
