Senior Salute - Sunday, May 3rd

Senior Salute will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2015, 11:30 am at Juban's Restaurant.  This event, hosted by the Baton Rouge Alumnae Chapter, welcomes the senior class of Gamma Zeta to Delta Gamma alumnae life.  Please join us for a buffet-style brunch.  The cost is $29 per person.

Sip 'N Serve - Wednesday, May 13th

We will be hosting our first "Sip 'N Serve" on Wednesday, May 13th from 7pm to 9pm on the Patio at La Carreta on Government.  More details to come soon.  This event will involve a project benefiting one of our philanthropy partners.

Geaux Greek 101 - Sunday, April 26th

Do you have a daughter, grand-daughter, niece, little sister, family friend or other high school senior graduating this Spring?  If so please make sure she knows about the upcoming Geaux Greek 101 hosted by the Baton Rouge Alumnae Panhellenic.  Geaux Greek 101 is an informational event for high school seniors regarding the sorority recruitment process generally regardless of the college or university she plans to attend in the fall.  Information about all 26 NPC sororities will be available. 

Geaux Greek 101 is taking place on Sunday, April 26th from 2pm to 4pm at the Country Club of Louisiana.  The cost is $15 per attendee and attire is Sunday brunch.  The Baton Rouge Alumnae Panhellenic requests that all attendees RSVP by Monday, April 20th with the name of each attendee and the college and university the senior intends to attend in the fall at
bralumnaepanhellenic@gmail.com.

BR Alumnae Involvement with the Delta Gamma Fraternity Cabinet

Join us in congratulating the four members of the Baton Rouge Alumnae Chapter were recently named to the Delta Gamma Fraternity Cabinet, which includes Fraternity Directors and regional specialists, who work closely with advisers, alumnae and collegians across North America. The Cabinet is a group of volunteers selected by Council.

Janet Vidrine (Gamma Zeta, 1982) will serve as the Director of Finance. The Director of Finance is the liaison between the Vice President Finance and the financial operations for the collegiate chapters. 
 

Emily Hester (Gamma Zeta, 2002) will serve as the Regional Collegiate Recruitment Specialist (RCRS) for Region 3. As a RCRS, she will oversee and direct all areas of collegiate recruitment in the states of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Arkansas, South Carolina, and Florida. Additionally, she will monitor and guide all collegiate Panhellenic activities within Region 3.
 

Kaitlyn Guerin (Gamma Zeta, 2005) will serve as the Regional Collegiate Specialist (RCS) for Region 3.  As a RCS, she will oversee all chapter operations as related to Honor Board, chapter calendars and direct the collegiate officers and their advisers to ensure that policies and procedures of the Fraternity are implemented for 5 to 7 chapters in Region 3.
 

Caroline Cooper (Gamma Zeta, 2005) will serve as the Regional Alumnae Specialist (RAS) for Region 3.  As a RAS, she will oversee alumnae chapters in the region to guide alumnae officers to ensure that policies and procedures of the Fraternity are implemented and provide encouragement, specific feedback and training to alumnae groups ensuring the health and well-being of approximately 14 alumnae groups in Region 3..

Additionally, 
Ellen DeCuir (Gamma Zeta, 1999) will be finishing her term as a Cabinet volunteer. Ellen has served as a RAS working with alumnae chapters in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Arkansas for the past five years.  Please also join us in thanking Ellen for her service.

Two Gamma Zeta's Chosen as Part of LSU's Tiger Twelve

Katelyn Gross (Gamma Zeta 2014 Chapter President) and Andree Comeaux were named as two of the 12 members of LSU's Tiger Twelve Class of 2015. This program that has been in existence since 1995 and recognizes students who represent a high level of commitment to the LSU community.  To promote these principles, each spring, the Office of the Dean of Students recognizes twelve outstanding seniors who “contribute positively to the life of the campus and surrounding community."

Funds Raised at 2015 Founders Day

We wanted to thank everyone for another successful Founders Day.  Through the raffle and t-shirt sales, we raised almost $500 for our local Service for Sight activities with LSVI and our regional Joining Forces activities with the Blind Rehab Center at the Biloxi VA.
