5 Things You Need to Know This Week
1. Guidelines for Buying Lunch Tickets:
As a friendly reminder, members and staff can only buy lunch tickets when the Snack Bar is open. The Snack Bar is open from 8 AM - 8:45 AM, and from 10:30 AM - 11:45 AM. The Wellness unit knows that some people arrive close to lunch time, after 11:45 AM when the Snack Bar closes. The Snack Bar sells tickets in advance, so if you plan on arriving after 11:45 AM, please buy your ticket the day before.
2. A Reminder About Clinical Sessions:
Case managers, social workers, psychologists and even psychiatrists are welcome to tour the Clubhouse. However, the San Antonio Clubhouse is a non-medical, non-clinical organization and facility. This means mental health professionals are not allowed to have a clinical session or anything that resembles case management at the North Central and Las Palmas locations. If you need a mental health professional to meet you at the Clubhouse for a clinical session, think about asking them to meet you at a restaurant nearby. The San Antonio Clubhouse thanks everyone for their cooperation in maintaining the standards.
3. Are you looking for work? Open positions with a local restaurant: 
Have you had an employment consultation? Are you looking to get your foot in the door with a great, local restaurant? Augie's Barbed Wire Smoke house BBQ has a Transitional Employment position open. This position involves basic food prep and dish washing.
4. Austin Advocacy Day with Texas Legislators:
The Texas Clubhouse Coalition, a group of Clubhouses in Texas, will gather in Austin on February 10th to speak with Texas Legislators and their staff. This includes a dedicated group of San Antonio Clubhouse staff and members, and will give us a chance to present our mission to influential members of the Texas Legislature. Here is the schedule:
6:00 AM > Depart for Austin
7:30-8:30 > Setup
8:30-9:00 > Breakfast/Meet & Greet
9:00-9:30 > Panel #1 - Mark and LInda W.
9:30-10:00 > Meet & Greet/Open House
10:00-10:30 > Panel #2

5. Chili Cook Off - Member Volunteers Needed:
The San Antonio Clubhouse will participate in a chili cook-off on February 14th at the Garden Center. Our role will include a fundraising table where staff and members will raise awareness and money for the Clubhouse. The event will include chili samples made by the Garden Center staff, and music by Rusty Martin, a blues musician.

The North Central Clubhouse offers a 3:15 PM daily drop off at the Northstar Mall VIA Transit Center and the H.E.B on the corner of San Pedro and Oblate.
