Nomination For Elders—Part 2

A few weeks ago, we launched the elder nomination process. The article in e-news discussed the Constitutional composition of the Nominating Committee. It also introduced Dan Long, one of our Elders, who is heading the team. You can read that article here.

The following people have agreed to serve on the Nominating Committee:
•  Jan Frank
•  Jenni Key, Staff Member
•  Jim Litchfield
•  Dan Long, Chairman
•  Tim Redmond
•  James Sailhamer, Vice-Chairman
•  Walt Williams

Now is your opportunity to complete a nomination form. We are in the last week of the thirty day nomination period, so please don’t delay! The last day to submit names is Sunday February 15.

Please consider the qualifications that Scripture gives for an Elder. You can read these in some wonderful passages, such as 1 Timothy 3:1–7, 1 Peter 5:1–11 and Titus 1:5–9.

The Nominating Committee will check to see if each person is a member. Also, it is a long-standing policy to neither notify nor interview any potential candidate until the final list is approved.

Please join the Committee in praying through potential nominees. The Nominating Committee will carefully consider each person you recommend, praying for God’s guidance. They are looking for men who have years of experience at our church, as well as men that are newer to our congregation. Prayer is a key element in the nominating process.

The Nominating Form is available in two ways: digital or print form. You may submit nominations digitally online at www.evfreefullerton.com/nominate. Alternatively, the print form is available daily in our church office and on Sundays at Guest Central. Please fill out the form and return it to the office, Guest Central or by mail. The deadline for all submissions is February 15.

SENT: 4 Skills to Courageous Faith

February 23, 6:30–8:30 pm, Chapel/Fireside Room

Whether you’re new in your faith or following Jesus your whole life, God sends ordinary people to share the Good News of His Kingdom wherever we go. But how? And what if we’re afraid? An introvert? Or don’t have all the answers? THAT’S OK!

Since God is already at work in the lives around us, God isn’t looking for PERFECT people but AVAILABLE people to help His lost find and follow Jesus Christ.

This practical outreach training will liberate you to rely on God, be yourself, and readily share your story or God’s story. We’ll train you in four skills to develop a Courageous Faith: PRAYER, MAKING FRIENDS, KINGDOM EXPERIENCES and SHARING HIS STORIES. If you feel inadequate, ill-equipped, ungifted or just want to be more bold in sharing your faith, SENT is just for you!

Cost: Free. Space is limited so please RSVP here. Childcare vouchers of $20 per family available to those who pre-register. For more info, contact Erin Kerr at 714.257.4310.
