Thames Tunnel consultation
Thames Water is planning to build a massive new sewer under the river. This scheme has huge implications for SE16 and King's Stairs Gardens in particular. Today's the final day of the consultation exhibition at Surrey Docks Watersports Centre, but there's another chance to catch it next week at the Beormund Community Centre. You can also sign a petition against the works at King's Stairs Gardens.
What does the future hold for Albion Street?
Thursday's meeting of Rotherhithe Community Council will be held at the Finnish Church and will have particular focus on the future of Albion Street.
Prince Lee Boo guided walk
This Saturday - and every Saturday in October - the Brunel Museum is running a guided walk from Bermondsey Tube Station along the Thames to 'Rotherhithe: an East India Company Town' and the tomb of Prince Lee Boo. It's free of charge for Southwark residents with proof of address.
Take a tour of the original Thames Tunnel
This Saturday afternoon, as part of the Mayor's Story of London festival, the Brunel Museum is offering guided train journeys through the Thames Tunnel.
Community day at the Salmon Youth Centre
On Saturday local residents are invited to come and explore the state-of-the-art building, meet the staff and young people and get a free family portrait taken by professional photographers.
Advance notice of NHS meeting
There's a lot of change afoot in the health service and NHS Southwark is inviting Bermondsey and Rotherhithe residents to a meeting at Time & Talents on Saturday 23 October. Lunch is provided!
