Local Artists' Exhibit
We have a phenomenal exhibition this year! Thirty-two artists are showing a total of 114 pieces. Some of the mediums include pencil, acrylic, oil, stone lithograph, ceramics, wood, and paper sculpture. Ages of our artists range from 11 - ??? Come in and spend some time enjoying the talent of our Stevens County artists.

Blind Date with a Book
During the month of February, the library will be sponsoring “Blind Date With a Book.” Library staff members have selected titles that fit in categories found in the 2015 Reading Challenge. Some titles qualify for more than one category, so the reader can select which category they wish. Books have been wrapped in brown paper and must be checked out without peeking! We encourage our patrons to stretch their reading wings and go on a blind date with a new genre or author.

Adult Winter Reading Program
There is still time to register for the Adult Winter Reading Program. Choose your goal (how many books you will ready by March 21) and pick up a list of ideas to stretch your reading comfort zone! We’d love to know how you’re doing – let us know the next time you come in to the library. Those that complete their goal will be eligible for prizes.

Donate Unwanted Legos
The library would like to sponsor a Lego Club. We are accepting donations of used legos to get us started. Contact Stacey or Eunice for details.

Summer Reading T-Shirt Design Contest
SCL’s 4^th Annual Summer Reading T-Shirt Design Contest is now underway. This year’s theme is HEROES. The contest is open to school-aged children and more than 300 kids and adults will wear the winning design! Full details are on the library’s website, or you can contact Stacey at the library.

Kids' Winter Reading Program
Bring your completed Pete Pledge sheets to the library and Stacey will give you your reading prize!

The SCL has 112 magazines available online through Zinio. Magazines may be downloaded to your computer or portable device and kept permanently! And did we mention this is FREE??? Contact a member of the library staff for details or help in getting started!
