Psychopharmacology Workshop

The School Psychology Program at the U of M and the Manitoba Association of School Psychologists (MASP) is pleased to announce a free all day workshop on psychopharmacology on March 12th from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM in room P412 Duff Roblin building. Parking and lunch are available on campus at your own expense. Beverages and snacks will be provided morning and afternoon. School Psychology students are registered automatically. Registration is available on a priority basis to all Psychology Department members, current MASP members and cooperating psychologists working with our students and after that to other interested persons. Space is limited so please register by email to  Debby.Arnould@ad.umanitoba.ca  with your name and affiliation as soon as you are able.
 
Julie Enyingi MD,FRCPC, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Medicine, University of Manitoba, is a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist at the Manitoba Adolescent Treatment Centre (MATC).  She will present a full day workshop on neuroscience, psychopharmacology, psychotropic drug classes, treatment strategies and access to mental health services. The presentation will include an overview of drug types and mechanisms of action, appropriate usage, benefits and side effects and the role that non-medical clinicians can play in the referral, assessment and ongoing monitoring process as well as a brief overview of services and procedures at MATC.
