Giving Days: Choices for nonprofits

Growth of giving daysGiving days like #GivingTuesday and Give to the Max Day rely on cooperative marketing across thousands of nonprofits to encourage donors to give more, and to give to more types of nonprofits. The growth of these types of days is both opportunity and challenge for many small- and medium-sized nonprofits. Sitting on the sidelines is likely to hurt donor growth in the future, but exactly how to move into the best use of giving days requires some strategic decisions.

Check out our blog post on some of the most important questions - like what type of donor goals and what about donor fatigue? Our white paper on giving days goes more in-depth on the trends, platforms and challenges in social/cooperative giving.

2015 Nonprofit Communications Trends

Nonprofit trendsThe website should be the most central item in a nonprofit's communications toolkit. It's the most cost-efficient and flexible way to reach audiences, and engage for change. Charities should be sure it is a central hub of everything they do online, and that other channels support that work.

The 2015 report from Philanthropy News Digest shows the highest amount of conflict in nonprofit communications isn't the social channels or other new tools like donations platforms. It's the good old fashioned web site. Charities need clarity on the measurable goals they seek from web sites, and how to get them. If you have questions about setting specific measures for actions in a website - and keeping the whole team focused - let us know.
