Standards still not good enough
A recent report by LaingBuisson revealed that one in five care homes for older people is still failing to meet national standards. Researchers examined 9,816 CQC inspection reports in January, showing that almost 2,000 homes where 73,000 residents live, failed to meet one of the key CQC standards. They also disclosed the fact that 3,500 people are living in homes which failed to meet any of the inspected standards. Read more here
