The Bolshoi Ballet's production of Swan Lake is coming to the San Juan Community Theatre!
SJCT will be showing the full-length ballet on the big screen this Sunday, February 8th. It's a wonderful opportunity for students to see the production that our performance is based on. Click here for more details!
Pacific Northwest Ballet in Seattle will also be performing Swan Lake from April 10-19.
And of course, Salish Sea Ballet's In-Studio Performance (excerpts from Swan Lake) takes place on May 16th!

In-Studio Performance Contracts
Information sheets/contracts for our May 16 performance were handed out last week in classes. Please remember to sign and return your contracts by next week!
All Salish Sea Ballet students are invited to perform in our production, which takes place in the studio. It's a wonderful opportunity for students to see each other dance and to show friends and family what they have learned this year!
Class attendance is especially crucial over the next few months. Choreography is set specifically to the dancers in class, and it makes a difference when dancers are absent. Most importantly, dancers need time to commit steps and music to memory and our goal is that every dancer goes on stage with confidence in their technique. Attending class regularly ensures that dancers are well prepared for our performance. Please contact Miss Jeanne if you anticipate any extended absences in the next few months.

Volunteer Opportunities
Our In-Studio Performance teaches dancers what it is like to dance in a professional ballet production. Even the professionals rely on a cadre of dedicated volunteers! Salish Sea Ballet volunteers help during one of the performances or dress rehearsal, and receive a complimentary ticket to the show in exchange. We have openings for costuming, backstage chaperones, and more. Contact Miss Jeanne if you are interested in helping out!
