February UVa R UseR Group Meetup
|
|
The next UVa R UseR Group meetup is set for February 19, 4:00-5:30, in 302 Ruffner Hall. This meetup features Steve Hoang and Mark Lawson of HemoShear, a local biotechnology research company. Steve will review some of the R tips & tricks HemoShear uses for advanced data visualizations (e.g., making heatmaps and 2-D histograms with packages like ggplot2, gplots, or NMF), while Mark will demonstrate the caret package for predictive analytics. This is a great opportunity to see how R is being used in industry and to meet some new people. Plus, free cookies and coffee! RSVP at the UVa R UseR Group Meetup event page.
