Recent Highlights
 Fifth graders in Redshaw, Frieden and Emig classes participated in a virtual SKYPE visit by well-known author, Linda Sue Park. Students had read and studied “A Single Shard”, Newbery award winning book written by Ms. Park. The author shared personal stories and writing tips with the students in the hour long presentation.
 Kindergarteners recently enjoyed a community based field trip to the King County Library branch in Bellevue. Students enjoyed a tour and stories read by the librarian. The big highlight was when students received their own library card and checked out a a book!
Box tops due on Wednesday!
 The current Box Top drive will close on Wednesday. Clip the pink “Box Tops for Education” label from General Mills products. Spiritridge PTSA redeems each label for 10 cents. Check www.boxtops4education.com for a list of products.
“Labels for Education” provides free educational equipment in exchange for proof of purchase labels or UPC codes from Campbell’s, Pepperidge Farm, and other participating products. Check www.labelsforeducation.com for a complete list of products.  Get ready for a night of entertainment this Friday as our very own Spiritridge students take the stage for the Annual Lip Sync! The performance will start at 6:45.
Performers can arrive at 6:15 to walk the stage before their performance. All participants need to check in and get their performance number by 6:30 .
