Augview expands in Asia

Augview CEO Mike Bundock recently travelled to Shenzhen in China, to meet with what could be Augview's first customer in China. Mike also travelled to Dubai to attend the Middle East GIS Forum. Mike shares his thoughts on his trip with us here.

Augview shortlisted for Geospatial World Award

We were excited to learn this week that Augview has been shortlisted for a 2015 Geospatial World Award, in the category of 'Geospatial Application Excellence'. We're now busily preparing our final award submission ahead of judging. The winners will be announced in Portugal in May. Wish us luck!

Augview for when disaster strikes

Few people like to think about worst possible scenarios. However, often this is necessary, especially for owners of potentially dangerous underground assets. In the case of an emergency, such as an earthquake, fire, flood or other natural disaster, it is vital that asset owners know the exact locations of their assets so that they can quickly respond and mitigate potential risks associated with their infrastructure being exposed or damaged.

Viewing buried infrastructure with augmented reality

Recently, a number of articles have suggested that in the future, it will be possible to ‘see’ buried infrastructure through the use of an augmented reality overlay. What they neglect to mention, is that this is already possible and in practice.
