Hi <<First Name>>,

Roosters

Hatched in 1993, by Sean Franklin,  at a time when most ales on the market were brown, Rooster’s Brewing Co. fast developed a reputation for brewing ground-breaking, hop-forward pale ales that showcase exciting new hops from the USA. Beers such as Yankeeâ„¢ soon started to attract the attention of judges at beer festivals across the UK, racking up countless awards along the way.

Fast forward nearly twenty years, Roosters now ably owned and managed by brothers Tom and Ol Fozard,  still crazy about hops and the flavours they impart on beer – their hop store is crammed full of varieties from all over the world, from Australia and New Zealand to Slovenia and North America. But that’s not to say they don’t enjoy playing around with other flavours and styles of beer along the way.

Over the years the awards have kept coming, but on a slightly larger scale, with both YPAâ„¢ and Leghorn picking up gold medals at the prestigious World Beer Cup in recent times.

"It’s our continued aim to produce the highest quality, clean-drinking beers possible, whilst also continuing to experiment and innovate, as new beer styles evolve and customer curiosity grows. However, we will never lose sight of our ideal that our beers should always be of the highest quality and be approachable to most discerning drinkers."

Windsor & Eton Brewery

Windsor ales were once famous amongst rich and poor alike. When Burge’s Brewery closed its doors in 1931, it brought to an end a tradition of Windsor brewing that had lasted for well over 300 years.

In just seven weeks they managed to create a new brewery from scratch. On the 1st March 2010, St David’s Day, they began installing the brewing vessels and on 23rd April 2010, St George’s Day, Guardsman Best Bitter was on sale in pubs. Seventy-nine years after the closure of Windsor’s last brewery, beer was back!

"Our ambition is simple – to make Windsor famous again as a brewer of some of the finest and most talked about beers in the country. So why do we brew? Because we get to make beer that people love and because it’s a lot more fun than any other job we have done.  We hope you continue having as much pleasure drinking them as we have making them."

Today, nearly 5 years on, their beers go from strength to strength, the brewery expanding to keep up with demand, their tank farm is for ever having new bigger and bigger vessels added, and now they are occupying more and more units at their location!     Their Republika, Garter and more, are go to beers!

Their ambition remains simple - to make great traditional ales and have great fun on the way

Alaskan Smoked Porter

2012 vintage

Smoked Beer. Known as "rauchbier" in Germany, smoke-flavored beers were virtually unknown in the U.S. until Alaskan Smoked Porter was developed in 1988. The dark, robust body and pronounced smoky flavor of this limited edition beer make it an adventuresome taste experience. Alaskan Smoked Porter is produced in limited "vintages" each year on November 1 and unlike most beers, may be aged in the bottle much like fine wine.
