You didn't choose me.  I chose you.  I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name. John 15:16

An Opportunity to Sow into Lasting Fruit

In John 15, Jesus calls us to remain in Him and produce lasting fruit.  Sisters, Rebecca and Abigahil Riveros are two of the youth that we have had the privilege of discipling during our time in Paraguay.  They both feel a call to missions and have been invited to participate in a year-long training program with the La Red church in Washington D.C.  The purpose of the program is to train Latino youth in evangelism, street ministry, missions and church planting.

We have set up a Special Project account linked to our account at The Mission Society in order to help Rebecca and Abi continue on the path that God is leading them.  Funds donated will go toward the costs of passports, visas, plane tickets and basic living expenses for a year.  $8000 will cover these expenses for both of them.

We are excited about this opportunity to continue to sow into the lives of these incredible young women.  Through this experience they will be better equipped to serve as disciple-makers and leaders in the Paraguayan church as well as advancing God's kingdom in the world.

One-time and monthly donations can be made to the Lasting Fruit Project on our page on The Mission Society website.
Busy Times

With the holidays behind us and well into the New Year, we are experiencing a change in pace.  Carol has started homeschooling Cora and is spending time teaching Rebecca and Abi English in the evenings.  Donald is continuing to make home visits in the church's neighborhood and visiting the silversmiths.  Carol, Cora and Daniel also participated in a church wide children's camp (pictured above).

We continue to be very busy preparing for our return to the States.  As we shared in our last update, we will be leaving Paraguay in July of 2015.  Our plan is to be in the States for a year long furlough in order to regroup, recharge and raise support for our next field of service.  God has some exciting opportunities on the horizon!

Would You Like to Help?

We praise God that Donald's mother will be providing a place for us to stay while in the States.  We are still in need of transportation, however.  Also, as we prepare to leave in July, we will have several one-time expenses such as plane tickets and a week long debriefing program.

Your contribution will help replenish our ministry account, allowing us to end well here in Paraguay and prepare for our future calling.  Thank you for your prayers and financial support!
