Egypt continues its crack down on LGBT people, arresting seven "transexuals" in Cairo - and media published a picture of those accused online!

Thailand hosted a meeting of Asian LGBT groups in Bangkok sponsored by the United Nations, USAID and other groups to build coalitions to advocate for LGBT rights in Asia.

At the first LGBT event (ever?!) at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), Log Cabin Republicans discussed Russia's anti-LGBT fear-mongering, which has now extended to the United Nations; they hope to end same-sex benefits for UN employees.

Slovenia is set to become the first Eastern European marriage equality country after a vote in Parliament on Tuesday.

The divide continues between independent Cuban LGBT activists in Cuba and those associated with the government. US Congressional leaders recently met with the independent group in Havana.
