  • We continued to deliver on the pillars of the association.
Some upcoming events:

We are back in the swing of things with research and promotion front of mind for the first half of the year.

The AustStab ARRB Accreditation Scheme logo was well received. Logos will start appearing on machines shortly. Members should contact Winnie or me to arrange for the orders to be confirmed, and logos and stickers to be forwarded out.

Our thoughts are with the regions that have suffered with the recent Category 5 storms in Queensland and the Northern Territory.

Unsealed Pavements

Often at AustStab we are asked for advise on unsealed roads.

Section 13 of the AustStab Guide outlines due process for:
- Site investigations
- Material design criteria
- Binder selection
- Testing
- Construction

In 2010 a federally funded DOTARS study was completed in South Western NSW with very favourable results for reduced dust emissions, reduced frequency of grading for maintenance and increased access following wet weather conditions. Information about this study is available by clicking here.

Pavements performing well after flood conditions

Thanks Stefan Maslak, Polyroads, for providing information about the Peninsula Development Road. Placed in 2004, and subject to flood conditions in 2005, 2006 and 2011 - the sealed rural pavement looks to be in great condition. Click here to view.

Accredited Contractor Logo 2015

Thank you to all members who contacted AustStab for information about the new logo.

Logos are now available to order. Members should have received an email regarding the availability of decals for centrally mounted mixers and computer controlled spreaders.

Logos are date stamped to show that the accreditation is current.

The Branding Guide will be distributed as part of the distribution of the logos and the decals.

If you have any queries or suggestions about the branding Guide, please contact Leah to discuss.
