Lost Trades Fair
Saturday 7 March
Are you lost? Looking for fellow pipers? Then head along to the Lost Trades Fair in Kyneton this long weekend. The Lost Trades Fair (7-8 March 2015) celebrates the art of skilled manual work and ancient and traditional trades and crafts, their special tools, traditions, languages and secrets which are now threatened by mass produced products in our modern society.
The Fair is held at 29 Piper Street in Kyneton...how appropriate!
Patrick Lyons will be hosting a Pipers' Gathering on the music stage at 2pm on Saturday 7 March. He'd love you to join him! If you're heading along to play a few tunes with him, just let Pat (or the Club) know so they look after you at the gate. The normal entry fee is $10.
International Bagpipe Day 2015
Tuesday 10 March
While we aren't running any local piping events on IBD 2015 (yet!), there's plenty of piping happening at the moment. You just have to read the rest of this newsletter to see!
There's plenty happening internationally, though. Check out the International Bagpipe Organisation for details of IDB events around the world.

LBPS Annual Competition
Overseas entries close 13 March
Yes, it's that time of the year again. The Lowland & Border Pipers' Society is running their Annual Competition. Once again, they're seeking entries from pipers overseas (not in the UK). One of our local pipers, Geoff Jones, won this section of the competition last year!
If you fancy you hand at some Lowland or Border tunes (that's in the brief), then head along to the LBPS website for details on how to entry.
NOTE: Overseas entries close on Friday 13 March!
