Happy winter to all our Vergennes Opera House fans! We are very much looking forward to the upcoming Carnevale Vergennes event that is happening on March 7 from 7 to 10 p.m. This event is a fundraiser for both the Vergennes Opera House and the Vergennes Partnership. Unforgettable (and sometimes surprising) entertainment, delectable tasty treats, beautiful music and a silent auction of unusual, one-of-a-kind and unexpected (but MUST HAVE) items.

Click here to learn more and/or to buy tickets online or you may purchase tickets at Classic Stitching, Everywear for Everybody or Linda's Apparel. Tickets will also be available at the door.

Here's a link to the photo album from last year's event.
We are using the somewhat quiet month of February to plaster, paint, sand, and refinish many of the interior surfaces inside the Vergennes Opera House. Norm LeBoeuf from H.J. LeBoeuf and Sons, Inc. pulled together a team under the direction of Ken Bahr from Bahr's Property Management. They worked to match the paint in all the areas and they patched and refinished the stage floor. Soon they will completely refinish the auditorium floor space. When folks come into the Opera House for Town Meeting on the evening of March 2nd, it will look like new! Much of this work was made possible by a grant from the Walter Cerf Foundation through the Vermont Community Foundation. Here is a photo album of the current restoration for you to enjoy.
