Lesson 569: Growing in Holiness, Pt.9
In clinging to God’s promises, we accept by faith that His glory is beyond comprehension.
2 Cor.4:17-18 this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.
2 Pet.1:4 he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.
Isaiah saw the glory of the Lord on His throne.
Isa.6:3 Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!
The apostle John recognized that Isaiah saw Jesus.
John 12:41 Isaiah said these things because he saw [Jesus’] glory and spoke of him.
About This Series
The goal of this series is to become more useful in serving the Lord Jesus Christ, as an instrument in the Redeemer's hand. The theme verses for the series are Ephesians 4:22-24, Philemon 11, 2 Timothy 2:21
- to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds,
- and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
- Formerly he was useless to you, but now he is indeed useful to you and to me.
- Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.
