Tree Trimming in Petersburg
Keeping vegetation away from power lines is a vital part of Dominion Virginia Power’s plan to provide safe, reliable and economic electric service. Dominion partners with outside vendors to keep its rights-of-way clear. Each vendor is vetted by Dominion and is an expert in the field of utility line clearance. The vendors’ work on the Dominion system is overseen by Dominion Forestry Coordinators, who are all Certified Arborists through the International Society of Arboriculture.
Dominion will be utilizing Xylem Tree Experts for important tree clearing work in the Petersburg area. Xylem is an experienced, Virginia-based company with Certified Arborists on staff. Xylem is the very first Virginia-based company and the third company in the nation to achieve the Tree Care Industry Association’s Accredited Utility Contractor certification. To achieve this accreditation, Xylem is required to meet stringent criteria for professionalism, employee training, adherence to state and federal safety regulations, demonstration of business ethics and customer satisfaction.
