We're excited to release the music video for brand new song 'A Madman & A Poet'

This new song is a preview of a new album, in the works for later this year.

Back in January, I had the opportunity to head back to Nashville to work with Matt Odmark (guitar player for Jars of Clay) in Jars of Clay's studio in downtown Nashville. I was accompanied only by Matt Nelson (cellist for Jars) as we live recorded my new song "A Madman & A Poet". 

I grew up playing music (piano first, then guitar and other instruments), but did not write lyrics in those early days. In the late 90's a took a backpacking trip through Europe and close to the end of my trip I hiked a mountain in Snowdonia (Wales) called Cader Idris, a 3,000 ft. peak shrouded in mystery and folklore.

There is a legend that if you spend the night on the slopes of Cader Idris you awake either a madman or a poet. I hiked the mountain and later slept on the peaks of Cader (only after getting trapped in the fog), only to awake and write my first lyrics just a short time after. "A Madman & A Poet" is based on that experience. Please enjoy and spread the word!
