Free Cheese at LES on Saturday, 2-5 pm

Tonight at 221 East Broadway we're bringing in the best of Sonoma County (non-wine or beer, natch):  Ace Cider.  We have Joker (their original) up on tap and Berry, Apple Honey, and Perry in bottles.  We love our cider at Malt and Mold but it's not often enough that we have it on tap.  Please come and enjoy it today for free. 

Friday, 3/6/15, 5-8 pm at 362 Second Avenue, Peak brings their organic beer from Portland, ME - sampling out Ginger Saison, Fresh Cut Pils, Hop Blanc, and their IPA 

Saturday, 3/7/15, 2-5 pm at 221 East Broadway, we're sampling out cheese again.  This week we have a decadently lovely Brillat Savarin.  It's a triple cream named for an 18th Century French Philosopher.

New Cheese News:

Consider Bardwell - Dandelion Dorset (both locations)  They wash the rind in dandelion wine.  How crazy is that?  We might sample some of that at Saturday's LES tasting too.

Grafton - Maple Smoked Cheddar (Gramercy now, LES next Friday).  You've been asking for a smoked cheese.  Problem is, not many smoked cheeses are actually smoked, just that weird liquid smoke added in.  Grafton cold smokes this puppy over smoldering maplewood chips for up to four hours. It's the real deal.

Graindorge - Bonde d'Antan (Gramercy only):  it's goaty and creamy and chalky and fudgy.  Yes, yes it is.

New Beer News:

LES:  Dogfish Namaste is a Belgian style witbier with Coriander and Lemongrass, and Orange Slices, and Peppercorns.  Plus 60 Minute and 90 Minute, and Rosabi and Etrusca.  Oh, and did I mention the Aprihop on tap?  It's a lion outside but it's all lamb inside.

Gramercy:  Gigantic Intensify Belgo IPA is on tap (8%) and Gigantic Ginormous Imperial IPA is in bottles (8.8%).  They're out of Portland, OR and they make big IPA's.
