AdhereTech and RespondWell make list of 12 companies leading the way in digital health. Both the smart pill bottle and interactive rehabilitation platform are using technology to reimagine the way patients approach treatments. TechRepublic

Predictive analytics startup Hindsait is using big data to help the New York Blood Center (NYBC) reach the right donors. Through the collected data, the NYBC will be launching an initiative to increase African American donors. Nuviun

So far, digital health companies have raised $890M in 2015, according to StartUp Health Insights. Here are a few of the most recent deals:

Genetic testing company Lineagen led funding this week with $19.8M from HealthQuest Capital and others. Lineagen plans to use the cash to build a customers for its two different Autism screening tests. Fierce Medical Devices

Remote dermatology monitoring app Klara landed $2.5M from Partech Ventures. The German startup does not charge doctors or patients and is currently deployed in 30 states across the US. MobiHealthNews

Medical diagnostics company Ortho Kinematics secured $1.8M of a larger raise. The startup hopes to use the round of funding to expand sales of its imaging software that can capture x-rays of the spine in motion. Austin Business Journal

Mobile patient record startup ChartSpan raised $1.7M from angel investors for increased development and distribution. Users of the app can import EHRs from any source for a mobile interoperability. MedCity News

Wearable pulse oximetry tracker Oxitone Medical raised $1.5M, bringing its total round to $3M. The Israel-based StartUp Health company is the world’s first bracelet health monitor that provides continuous supervision of pulmonary, heart and sleep related diseases to alert doctors of any complications.
