This workshop is slow and mellow with long, comfortable holds focusing on reducing stress through restful rejuvenation and gentle massage. As you are guided into the restorative pose, you will receive gentle nurturing touch to aid in the healing process and align the union of your being into a complete relaxation.

This 2 hour workshop provides beginning practitioners with a working knowledge of the alignment principals, posture modifications and a strong foundation on which to build their yoga practice. We will work on basic alignment from the ground up, gaining self-awareness, balance and fluidity along the way. We will explore the adaptive benefits of props such as foam blocks, bolsters, straps and the wall!

This sacred text is believed to be a direct message of Vishnu in the avatar of Krishna. The teachings are revealed to us in the form of a long dialogue between Krishna and Arjuna in the middle of the battle field of Kurukshetra, where the epic battle of the Mahabharata was fought.

We will begin with a brief introduction to Ayurvedic medicine and then discuss: simple herbal formulas, self massage, making kitchari (a traditional healing meal), sinus cleansing remedies, mindful eating, foundations in Ayurvedic nutrition and gentle cleansing techniques. Allison will be sharing her top remedies to living optimally through Ayurveda. A great class for those beginning their Ayurvedic path, or for those wanting to enhance the routines they are currently practicing.
