US renewable energy developer and manufacturer, SunEdison will offer the UK’s first residential solar PPA. The company will install solar PV on a customer’s roof for free, offering residential customers fixed electricity tariffs for 20 years. Speaking at Ecobuild, Mark Babcock, vice president of SunEdison residential & small commercial Europe said that the company was going to push the new offering heavily with a “significant” advertising and PR push. Elsewhere, the BPVA’s Reza Shaybani has managed to secure a meeting with the Prime Minister to discuss the case for installing solar PV on newbuild homes. All this and much more can be found in today’s newsletter.
