SkillShare Meets the Minister for the Cabinet Office!
Yesterday I met the RT Hon MP Francis Maude to discuss how Chester Voluntary Action supports local charities as part of our business skills sharing project, SkillShare. We invited a range of charities to meet the Minister - Age UK Cheshire, The Bren Project and DIAL West Cheshire (DIAL House). We also invited 2 of our SkillShare businesses to talk about their experience of sharing skills - Hillyer McKeown and Ambos Digital.
The Minister said "I visited DIAL West Cheshire on the recommendation of local MP Stephen Mosley. They are working to provide support and advice for people with disabilities. We had an excellent discussion with Chester Voluntary Action and Cheshire Connect on how the charitable sector can develop its entrepreneurialism and business-skills to do even more in local communities like this oneâ€.
