Well it seems like Spring is just around the corner and it is now much lighter in the mornings and when the sun shines it can even have a little bit of warmth in it! We have a mega busy month ahead and thought we would share some new discoveries with you as well as a firm old favourite!

Wild Garlic Pesto - this months recipe...
For me the onset of Spring is always marked by the arrival of those little green shoots of wild garlic appearing in our woodlands. It has become a much used herb on a restaurant menu - some might say too much! 

It is however easy to make and a great stalwart to our food cupboard for later in the year! here

A Fine Collection of Charcuterie...
We always love to share new discoveries with you and recently we came a cross a new Artisan producer of some pretty fine cured meats. 
We featured one at our last dinners and hope to showcase again for our beer dinners.

And then finally...
It was with sadness I heard the news just before Christmas 2014 a long time friend, talented chef and mentor to many a fine cook Norman Cook lost his fight with a brain tumour.
I attended a very moving tribute celebration in January at Wentworth Golf Club where over 200 friends and work colleagues gathered.
There is just a few days left to bid on an online Auction that is raising money for the Thames Hospice and Brain Tumour Charity - I have donated a private dinner for 6 persons but there are some amazing items up for grabs so check it out here

I look forward to perhaps seeing you at one of our upcoming events soon.
