Looking for ways to save money?

Did you know that staff can purchase a "dining plan" of sorts that discounts meals at all campus dining facilities?  The plan works through a payroll deduction and discounts increase with the amount you have withheld from your paycheck each month.

Plan 1: Deduct $15     Available to Spend $16
Plan 2: Deduct $25     Available to Spend $27
Plan 3: Deduct $50     Available to Spend $56
Plan 4: Deduct $75     Available to Spend $85
Plan 5: Deduct $100   Available to Spend $115

Use your Pitt ID to pay for meals, just like the students do. Lunch Money participants also can eat at Market Central and The Perch at Sutherland (the 2 all-you-care-to-eat campus options) at a reduced lunch rate of $6.95 per entry.

For more information or to register, check out the Lunch Money website.  See a map of available dining locations or check out today's menus.

LifeSolutions provides a broad range of services to assist faculty, staff, and their household members to balance work and the stresses of daily life.

What SAC does for you

Check out the SAC historical timeline for a list of issues tackled by the Staff Association Council on your behalf.  Among the accomplishments: improving SUPRA services, initiating Falk Pharmacy prescription delivery, initiating the discussion for domestic partner benefits, and establishing staff access to parking.  Tell us what you want SAC to tackle next!  Email sac@pitt.edu.

Meet SAC Member Robyne Ivory!

Robyne L. Ivory is an Administrative Assistant and Project Coordinator for the University Library System Technical Services Department.  She has worked at Pitt for 6 ½ years.  In her current position, Robyne is the administrative assistant to the department head, liaison to the university’s purchasing department and is also the liaison to outside vendors.  Robyne works to ensure that licenses for electronic materials are up to date and organized. She also gathers and records usage statistics for the library’s e-resources in addition to tracking the progress of various projects within the department.
Her involvement with SAC: Robyne became a member of SAC in May of 2014.  She currently serves on the External Relations Committee.  She has just been appointed to represent SAC on the University Press Committee for the University Senate.
Why did she join SAC?  Robyne says, “My office is located off campus in the Library Resources Center on Thomas Blvd. (in the Point Breeze section of Pittsburgh).  Joining SAC allowed me to connect with the campus in addition to building professional relationships with people that I would not come in contact with otherwise. Being a part of SAC, I see first-hand how the committees strive to stay in line with their goals of shared governance and community service.”
What is her vision on how SAC can impact the University? “I would say that SAC’s potential cannot be confined to a few sentences.  SAC’s advocacy has helped bring about disability benefits, book scholarships, extended holiday break, help with food banks and the annual Kennywood Day to name a few. In short, SAC’s potential is limitless.”
Fun Facts about Robyne: “I do a lot of hiking and biking… mostly biking.  Last year, with a group of seven others, I biked the Great Allegheny Passage trail from Homestead, PA to Cumberland, MA; it was quite an adventure. One of my goals is to bike major trails in other states also. I don’t like sitting for long periods of time so I participate in the BE FIT PITT initiative, it helps me get up and moving throughout the day.  Thank you Dr. Renee Rogers and Pitt’s Department of Health and Physical Activity.  This is a great initiative designed to combat the effects of being sedentary for long periods of time.   Another great perk to working at Pitt.“
