Stay in-the-know about all things happening at Redeemer

Missions Breakfast: You're invited for coffee and a few breakfast nibbles with the missions committee this Sunday, March 8 at 9:15 am in the Fellowship Hall. Our Redeemer-supported missionaries Bruce & Pam Sinclair will be sharing about their ministry in Uganda.
**Daylight Saving Time begins this Sunday!**
Get Involved
Support Missions: Our own Olivia Hines is going to Nicaragua with Palmetto Medical Initiative this May, and she's raising money for her trip through a yard sale. You can support Olivia's trip by donating items for the yard sale. All items will be accepted--furniture, baby items, appliances, etc. Save a trip to Goodwill by calling Olivia at 601-613-3383. Let her pick up your unwanted items! And mark your calendars for Olivia's yard sale on Saturday, April 4 at 229 Gordon St. starting at 8 am.

Women's Prayer Watch: The Lord has delivered us so that we may take an active role in seeing His Kingdom grow here in Charleston. If your heart desires to cry out to the Lord for Redeemer--its leaders, ministries, missionaries, marriages, young adults at school and home, our neighborhood, city, nation, and the church universal, come join us on the sanctuary floor the second Saturday of every month from 7-9 am. We long to see more of His Kingdom come; join us Saturday, March 14. Read Lisa Christian's personal experience with Saturday's prayer time.

Help Host a Student: Our church has the opportunity to welcome to the US and Charleston a Mexican student who's coming to visit John & Nell Evans for two weeks in March and April. Fifteen-year-old David, the son of a theologian and statesman in Mexico, will arrive Saturday, March 28. David's father was the pastor at the Mexican church the Evanses attended 20 years ago. Nell is excited to introduce David to everyone at Redeemer, help him practice his English with all of us, and give him a great experience here in Charleston.
Here's how you can help:
  • Offer a spare bed to David while he's here in Charleston (for a night or two, a week, etc.)
  • Show him some Charleston sights by letting him tag along with your family on your day at the beach or your tour of Fort Sumter.
  • Take him along to shadow you at work for the day (especially if you have an interesting job!)
  • Invite him to bike with you over the Ravenel Bridge.
These are just a few ideas, but Nell is open to others as she makes plans for David's trip (March 28-April 12). Contact Nell via email this week with how you can help.
