IFO, MSCF, and MnSCU Agree to Move Forward Together with Charting the Future Agreement
The Inter Faculty Organization, Minnesota State College Faculty, Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Administration and MnSCU Board of Trustees have agreed to move forward cooperatively and collaboratively to secure the future of our 410,000 students and for the state of Minnesota. Following multiple meetings, with the assistance of the Bureau of Mediation Services, MSCF and IFO have agreed to rejoin the strategic planning process, Charting the Future.

Charting the Future Gallery Walk returns March 18
On March 18, Bemidji State will host a second Charting the Future Gallery Walk from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Crying Wolf Room of the lower Hobson Memorial Union. The event aims to solicit feedback from the campus community about the work of the Academic Planning & Collaboration, Competency Certification & Credit for Prior Learning, Education Technology and Information Technology Systems Design Charting the Future implementation teams.

BSU Foundation sells former Bemidji High School property
The Bemidji State University Foundation has sold an 11-acre parcel of land in the heart of Bemidji to a local developer, which plans to break ground on a student housing complex on the property this summer.

Midwinter Interlude opening reception set for March 6
Faculty and staff are invited to celebrate the sixth annual Midwinter Interlude art show at a March 6 opening reception. Artists featured in the exhibit will be available to discuss their work from 4-7 p.m. in the Ramsey Gallery lobby, and live entertainment and refreshments will be available. The reception will be part of Bemidji’s First Friday Art Walk.

• Professor Alan Chapman of the University of Oxford (above), guest lecturer for BSU's EuroSpring program, has won the prestigious Jackson-Gwilt Medal from the Royal Astronomical Society.
• Dr. Vivian Delgado, assistant professor of languages and ethnic studies, has begun writing a monthly column for the Bemidji Pioneer on Native American issues and topics. Her first column, published Feb. 21, focused on recent "Truth and Reconciliation" efforts in Bemidji.

Women's hockey: 20 wins, Final Five bound
An historic playoff-series victory has propelled BSU women's hockey to its first-ever 20 win season and just its second trip to the WCHA Final Five. BSU needed all three games but toppled the ninth-ranked Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs in the first round of the WCHA playoffs, Feb. 27-March 1.
