This is an example of an outdoor kitchen area.  This design adds a great outdoor cooking area as well as a small patio. The covering over the top may not be solid, but as you can see still offers some shade along with the trees. There are so many options.  Start planning now and give renovations a call.

Recent warm winter weather!

Expanded outdoor living space....

Our recent warm winter weather then the cold snap and now warming up again has Sandy and I starting to get into the details of our expanded outdoor living space.
We have a covered patio on the north side of our home about 14’ wide and 60’ long. It houses a small sitting area, large picnic table my Dad built (seats 10), and my bar b que grill. (yes it is mine). Outside this area we have an fire ring some chairs and a couple of tree stumps that surround the fire. Good ol’ mother earth serves us as the flooring.
Well we planned out an improvement that would have a paver floor to protect ours and our grandkids tender feet from the ubiquitous goat heads. We also want an area where we can sit outside in the sun during those times when the air is cool and the sun is warm.  This space will also have several flower pots we create from our reclaimed livestock water troughs that has some rusted holes on the bottom.
Sandy has the green thumb and we enjoy the flowers and plants we grow and also buy , usually from Watters. These will form sort of a boundary by strategically placing them at the perimeter of the pavers.
Now we know this space will be a great addition to our outdoor living but…to make it dang near perfect we wanted to add a small trellis space to add some modicum of shade in the summer, a place to hang plants, flowers, and a couple of bird feeders. The trellis will also serve to define the space.
Now why do I tell you all this? The point is we are planning the specifics now in late February and early March. We plan, we budget, and pretty soon we will build. What steps are you taking to make this outdoor season the best it can be?
I will show you pictures when it is done!

Sample pictures of one outdoor area.
