Issue 2 - Spring Term 2015

Last week's House Music competition was my first whole school event as Headmaster and what a celebration of the musical talent of our pupils it turned out to be!

The huge range of talent at this annual competition always amazes me.  It is particularly impressive when you consider that the performances are all planned, arranged and rehearsed by the pupils themselves.  I particularly enjoyed the wide range of musical genres on display from the classic right through to the modern. To see nearly half of the school’s pupils representing their House with pride and passion was a great joy.

My thanks to all the pupils for their hard work and commitment, both on the stage and in supporting roles, and to all of the staff who were involved in helping in a wide variety of ways, particularly the Heads of House, Mr Brown and Mrs Coomer in the Music Department, and Mr Latter in his first year as Stage Manager.

Pictures from the evening can now be viewed on our website by following the link in the article below.
