Hi everyone
I have some nice gigs coming up this month, details are below. Hope to see you at one of them.
They are with various different projects: tonight (short notice I know!) the Way Out West collective will be performing arrangements of tunes from Coltrane’s iconic Giant Steps album. I have a couple of gigs in London and the Isle of Wight with The Lyric Ensemble, performing songs which set poetry to music, by myself, Tony Woods and Michael Garrick, as well as compositions by Bill Evans, Kenny Wheeler and John Taylor. Then my first gig of the year with my band on Sunday 22nd, and our last before we go into the studio in Wales on the 29th for three days to record my debut album. The month is completed by gigs with saxophonist Andrew Linham and singer Nia Lynn.
April’s a busy month too so will let you know what I’m up to closer to the time, or you can check my website tommillar.com (which I will soon be giving a thorough overhaul!)
