Happy 50th Anniversary, Friends of the Library!
Check out the Friends Second Saturday Sale coming up April 11! These sales are offered each month from 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. The first hour is open to members only. There will also be a sale on Sunday, April 12 from 12- 3:30 p.m. Not a Friends member? Memberships  are very affordable and available on our website, at the door on the day of the sale or pick up a membership form at the Welcome Desk the next time you visit the Bloomfield Township Public Library.

March is Read an eBook Month

Annually, March is designated as Read an eBook Month, but it is now so easy to do, you can literally do it anytime! In order to get started downloading eBooks from the Bloomfield Township Public Library simply visit our eBook website at www.ebtpl.org and enter your library card information. If you are a first time user or want more detailed instructions on how to download eBooks to your favorite tablet or eReader, find the appropriate quick start guide on our Downloads page. 

Authors Born in March

Did you know that there are so many amazing and prolific authors that were born in the month of March? We have many titles by such classic authors as: Ralph Ellison, Umberto Eco, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Douglas Adams, Carl Hiaasen, Frank Norris, Robert Frost, & Jack Kerouac. In honor of these birthdays, reread one of your favorites or try one out for the first time today!

My Favorite Shrubs for Michigan Gardens

Join us at the library on Wednesday, March 25 at 7 p.m. as we welcome gardening expert Jim Slezinski of Goldner Walsh. In this 90 minute presentation Jim will discuss what his favorite shrubs are and how to plant and present them in your home gardens.  Jim will also provide tips on growing and caring for these shrubs. March is National Nutrition Month

We are a couple of months in to the new year, and for many of us it means a chance to re-evaluate our new year’s resolutions. If getting in better shape was part of your resolution or you just want to eat a little healthier, there is no better time than March to get started. That’s because March is National Nutrition Month! The library is a great place to stop in to check out some great books about nutrition, fitness, and maybe even some workout DVDs.
