Captain Planet Foundation- 4/30/2015                                                                         The Captain Planet Foundation is accepting applications from schools and nonprofit organizations for its Ecotech Grant program, a new initiative to support projects that motivate children through the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) fields while challenging them to reimagine the way their world can be. Secondary Education, Two-Year Postsecondary Education, and Agriculture in the K-12 Classroom Challenge Grants Program- 3/16/2015
The program supports agriscience and agribusiness education. Goals include: (1) strengthening K-12 and college and university agriculture education to ensure a qualified agricultural sciences workforce; and (2) promoting linkages among secondary, two-year post-secondary and higher education programs in the food and agricultural sciences to encourage advanced degree completion. Good Neighbor Citizenship Company Grants-10/31/2015          
Through our company grants, we focus on two areas: safety and education. SAFETY GRANTS: Our funding is directed toward auto and roadway safety, home safety and fire prevention, disaster preparedness, disaster recovery, and personal financial safety/security. EDUCATION: We support efforts to provide all children with an education that will allow them to reach their greatest potential and prepare them to participate in a nation and economy that continues as a global leader. We fund three types of grants for k-12 public schools: teacher development, service-learning, and systemic improvement. The grantee will support national level high-quality arts education projects and programs for children and youth, with special emphasis on serving students from low-income families and students with disabilities. National Council of Teachers of Mathematics- 5/4/2015                                       Now accepting applications for School In-Service Training grants, which are designed to support the professional development and pedagogical content knowledge of pre-K-5 math teachers. National Institute of Standards and Technology –3/13/2015                                  The Summer Institute for Middle School Science Teachers (July 6-17) provides hands-on activities, lectures, tours and visits with scientists and engineers in NIST laboratories. The institute will be held at the NIST Campus in Gaithersburg, MD. Eligible: Public school districts and private educational institutions. Funding: $78,000 for 22 awards. National Science Foundation – 3/17/2015 and 8/17/2015                                        The Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship program encourages talented STEM college students and professionals to become K-12 mathematics and science teachers. Grants support scholarships, stipends and academic programs for undergraduate and graduate STEM students, who must commit to teaching in high-need K-12 school districts.
