Orphan Spotlight

The founding of Aerial Development Group was inspired by the initiative to stop human trafficking and create safe havens for abused orphans in Kenya. When you think of an orphan, you probably envision a child with no home or family. These children now have a family, a home and provision that leads to hope for the future. Let us share their incredible stories with you...

Hillary
He was born out of wedlock. His father is unknown. His mother died when he was 5 years old. Hillary was left under the care of his elderly grandmother who relied on casual work to try and make ends meet. He came to Baba Nyumbani in 2010.

"When I was at home nobody could pay for my school fees. I could not even eat at lunch or supper. My father and mother were not there. But I come to Baba Nyumbani and could afford to go at school to learn. I thank Almighty daily for bring me up to this point. Here in Baba Nyumbani we eat every day.

Here in Baba Nyumbani I have hope to continue with life. When I grow up I would be a banker."

A Week in Africa

Spreading Light

During our pre-trip planning, we decided that in addition to meeting and playing with the children at the orphanage, we also wanted to do something for families in the nearby village of Bondo. Forty-one percent of the Bondo population lives in extreme poverty and 23 percent live with malaria or HIV/AIDS. Our next micro-community orphanage will be built Bondo, where one out of five kids is orphaned with little or no support.....
