An Invitation to Dance QiGong

by Karen Steinbrecher

“Dear ones, let’s anoint this earth with dance!” From a year with Hafiz, translated by Daniel Ladinsky.

I write this on a cold February morning with a vision in my mind’s eye of spring.  My vision is of green, seeds sprouting, with green shoots emanating from the wood, for this is the time of the Wood element in Traditional Chinese Medicine. We have transitioned to the Wood element. Let us celebrate!  Practicing Qigong enables you to let go of the increasing pressures, the fast pace of life, and bring you back, in touch with yourself.

We, you and I, are the Earth, and we are Heaven, we are the Universe. When we practice the healing dance of Qigong, we work (Gong) to balance Yin (Earth) with Yang (Heaven) as we align body, mind and spirit.

» Qigong practice is led by Karen Steinbrecher  karensteinbrecher@msn.com on Thursdays @ 2 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. for 55 minutes.
» The cost is $10.

Disposable

by Dean Solon

sitting… with the seeing… with the feeling…
all the thoughts, all these thoughts … are nonsensical,
all the beliefs, all these beliefs… are nonsensical,
all the drama, all this drama… is nonsensical.
Sitting… with the bliss that all the thoughts, all the beliefs, all the drama…
            Are perfectly all right
            And are disposable.
i may rest in this,
i may ripple in this,
i may remember this,
in all the moments of a life.

Rumi and Hafiz Poetry Evening

Wednesday, 3/18, 7:30-9:30 pm

Are you looking for inspiration? Seeking connection? Does your life feel too scheduled, planned, and deliberate – and are you seeking a way to introduce more mystery and magic into it? During our time together, we open to and explore the themes of Divine Love and Mystery found in the wisdom teachings of Rumi, Hafiz, Rilke, Kahlil Gibran, and others.

Reading poetry aloud, listening in silence to poetry being read, and sharing the ways the words move us and confuse us and inspire us, there is no one way to be Present for these evenings. We invite you to join us on the adventure.

Divorce Group Forming
(men and women)

Sunday Evenings:
2/22, 3/1, 3/8, 7-8:30 pm
Cost: $80 for 3-weeks

This group is for anyone interested in getting support in coping with the aftermath of a break-up or divorce. This 3-week workshop will help participants process their emotions through discussions, energy techniques, and other clearing modalities.

The activities will help participants assess the emotional and spiritual value of the relationship and see how needs were served. This can shift the perspective and create gratitude and forgiveness. Also, processing the relationship with objectivity will help participants recognize unhealthy patterns so they are not repeated in future relationships.

Group(s) are forming now, so please contact Delia Nessim, Marriage and Family Therapist and group leader, at 610-416-7535 or delianessim @gmail.com to register.

» RSVP: call 610-416-7535, email Delia at delianessim @gmail.com or register online.
